The Company consists of John and Fiona Kelly: we are the puppeteers! We also run the puppet-making business with the help of  a team of skilled workers.

John has two certificates in Education.    He has been an editor, published poet, and is currently leading a writers' group in Hull.

Dramatically, he has toured Teesdale & Weardale performing in "Richard Watson: Lead Miner and Poet", and has studied English, Philosophy and Psychology to degree level.  He is also a trained counsellor.

He began professional puppeteering in the 1980's performing in schools, churches and charities, as a children's entertainer, and since marrying, he and his wife have taken it up together.  His background is in teaching, having recently been a Primary supply teacher in Hull for four years, and consequently, it was a natural progression for him to begin leading workshops, teaching the designing and making of puppets, as well as the skills of puppet performance.

Fiona has a degree in history from Lancaster University where she successfully auditioned for a place in the Theatre Studies Dept at Lancaster University, and became involved in the Cornerstone Drama group.

She has been commended at the Brent Festival for Music and Dance, has been involved in Madrigals and Choral groups.

She has also performed in the Tonbridge Wells Festival, where she gained 1st and 3rd places for drama. She has taken exams in piano and Music Theory (Grade VI); gained Bronze medal for Scottish dancing, and Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals in (L.A.M.D.A.) for Acting and for Speech and Drama (Honours).   Fiona also worked for a year as a mouth puppet operator with a ladies' puppet group, performing in schools and churches in the Hull area.
